What You’ll Be Doing:
Design & Technical Development:
- Lead a talented design team, managing the delivery of design information that aligns with project goals, timelines, and budget.
- Dive into detailed design work, from drafting to CAD, ensuring everything meets their high standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external consultants to ensure smooth integration and coordination of design elements.
Project Management:
- Prepare and maintain project drawings, ensuring they meet QA and safety standards.
- Integrate technical information and statutory requirements into designs and production drawings.
- Prepare all the necessary documentation for planning, tender, and construction.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, attending key meetings to ensure projects stay on track.
- Keep the Project Associate updated on progress, flagging any potential issues and offering solutions.
- Manage resources effectively, ensuring everything is in line with the agreed fee and schedule, while addressing any gaps.
- Chair project meetings, making sure everyone is clear on their roles, responsibilities, and the project’s scope.
Team Leadership:
- Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting clear communication and shared goals.
- Mentor and support your team, helping them meet their training and development needs.
- Ensure all team members understand their roles and how they fit into the bigger picture.

Essential Experience & Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD/BIM and an understanding of how these tools impact project management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for conveying design ideas.
- The technical know-how to specify and select materials and products.
- Ability to produce clear, well-thought-out architectural designs.
- A solid understanding of building technologies, regulations, and planning applications.
- Familiarity with technical standards, regulatory frameworks, and health and safety requirements.
- On-site experience is a bonus!
