My client is on the hunt for a talented individual to join their expanding team. You could be working from one of their vibrant offices in Chorley, Lancaster, London, or Shrewsbury.

What’s the Role?

In this pivotal role, you’ll be mentoring and guiding graduate engineers and engineering technicians. Your focus will be on supporting the current workload and helping develop the skills of your team to meet client demands and achieve business goals. Though you’ll be based in one of my client’s four offices, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across all locations. Expect to manage multiple projects and clients while supporting the Directors in achieving excellence across the group.

Who They Are Looking For?

They are seeking a chartered engineer with CIWEM, ICE, and/or CIHT, who is passionate about applying best practices and enhancing design services. If you’re someone who thrives on challenges, loves to learn, and excels in a team environment, then I want to hear from you!

Essential Experience:

  • Minimum of three years in Highways and Drainage design
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Causeway Flow or equivalent design software
  • Skilled in producing detailed drainage and highway calculations and sketches
  • Familiarity with CIRIA design guides, BRE digest, BS EN752, and Design and Construction Guidance
  • Experience with adoptable standards (Section 278, Section 38, and 104)
  • Commercial awareness of costing, budgets, and quotations
  • Strong report writing abilities
  • Site visit experience to ensure construction aligns with drawings
  • Ability to prepare specifications
