As a Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the preparation of management accounts, financial reporting, and driving business performance. Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare & present monthly financial analysis to aid the creation of management accounts and key reports.
  • Provide detailed financial insights to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Assist in budget preparation and quarterly forecasts to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Take charge of financial analysis for cost-saving initiatives.
  • Handle day-to-day ad hoc requests, offering financial expertise where needed.
  • Oversee and manage inventory checks & audits, ensuring accuracy through the ERP system and performing root cause analysis.

Reporting & Compliance:

  • Create weekly & monthly reports for senior management, covering cost analysis, cash forecasts, weekly sales, and inventory reports.
  • Ensure tax compliance with accurate VAT return preparation.
  • Implement and improve internal controls to ensure reporting accuracy and mitigate risks.
  • Support the external audit process, providing accurate and timely information.

Finance Partnering:

  • Collaborate with operational teams to offer financial guidance and ensure budget adherence.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performance.
  • Partner with other departments on business projects, providing financial insights to inform strategies.
  • Audit and challenge data received from departments, ensuring accurate reporting.

Operational Support & Collaboration:

  • Work alongside operational teams to ensure smooth day-to-day financial management.
  • Drive cost-effective operations and improve financial alignment across the business.
