If you’re looking to take your career to the next level, I have a fantastic opportunity with a leading company known for its dynamic and fast-paced sales and service environment. My client is on the lookout for 2 proactive and enthusiastic Customer Service Advisors to join a friendly, high-performing team, reporting directly to the Customer Services Manager.

The Role:

As a Customer Service Advisor, you will play a key role in managing customer accounts and delivering outstanding service within a busy sales environment. You’ll thrive under pressure, using your strong communication skills to resolve customer issues, ensuring a smooth process from order to delivery. This is a great chance to take ownership of your work, contribute to a successful team, and build lasting relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls, efficiently resolving customer issues and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Manage customer accounts from order placement through to shipment, ensuring all details are accurately handled.
  • Develop a good understanding of products and processes, enabling you to confidently assist customers.
  • Log all customer issues according to the escalation process, ensuring nothing is left unresolved.
  • Take ownership of customer concerns, working to resolve them or escalating when necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure the best customer outcomes, directing relevant stakeholders when required.
  • Meet deadlines and complete tasks within agreed timescales, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Be flexible and ready to take on additional tasks as needed.

What They’re Looking For:

Experience: Previous customer service experience is essential.

Skills:

  • A confident and professional telephone manner – you’ll need to communicate clearly, build rapport, and engage effectively with customers.
  • Strong problem-solving and call management abilities (active listening, questioning, summarising, and identifying customer needs).
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and strong PC skills are essential.

Desirable:

Knowledge of export processes and legislation, particularly post-Brexit, including:

  • Shipping Incoterms
  • Export VAT regulations
  • Customs processes and documentation

Education: GCSE/National 5 in Mathematics and English (or equivalent).
